On December 30th, local time, according to the governor of the Belgorod region in Russia, the city center of Belgorod was subjected to artillery attacks by suspected Ukrainian armed forces. The incident resulted in the death of over 20 civilians, with more than 45 people injured. Authorities speculate that this could be a retaliatory action in response to Russia's large-scale airstrikes on Ukrainian cities on December 29th. However, as of now, there has been no response from the Ukrainian authorities regarding this incident.
