經過連日追查，警視廳於12月18日逮捕一名22歲的風俗店從業人員小原麗。初步調查顯示，小原涉嫌於今年3月在東京都內獨自產下一名女嬰，並在分娩後將遺體移動至另一處地點進行分切，最後於本月6日前後將殘肢遺棄在店內員工待機室的冰箱中。面對警方偵訊，嫌犯小原麗坦承罪行，並供稱生產當時嬰兒沒有哭泣、毫無反應，她因為一心想要隱瞞產子的事實，才動念將遺體分解處理。

A horrifying discovery in a Tokyo sex work establishment has led to the arrest of a 22-year-old woman. On December 18, Tokyo police took Rei Ohara, an employee in the industry, into custody on suspicion of damaging and abandoning a corpse. The arrest follows a grisly discovery made earlier this month in the Sumida Ward of Tokyo.

The investigation began on the evening of December 6, around 9:00 PM, when staff members cleaning a shared office refrigerator at a club in the Kotobashi district noticed something disturbing. They immediately contacted emergency services, reporting the discovery of "what looked like a child's head." Upon arrival, police found the frozen remains of an infant—specifically the head and all four limbs—inside the freezer section. The head had been wrapped in a plastic bag, while the limbs were stored in plastic airtight containers. Curiously, the infant's torso remained missing.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, Ohara is suspected of giving birth alone in March of this year. She allegedly moved the remains to a separate location in Tokyo to dismember them before eventually hiding the parts in the staff waiting room refrigerator around December 6. During interrogation, Ohara admitted to the charges, stating that the baby did not cry or show any signs of life upon delivery. She told investigators that she felt she "had to hide what happened" and subsequently decided to dismember the body.

Forensic experts estimate the infant was likely between a few weeks and a few months old at the time of death. The exact cause and timing of death are still under investigation. The establishment where the remains were found is located in a busy entertainment district and employs approximately 20 people who regularly share the office facilities. Authorities are continuing their search for the missing torso and investigating the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
