The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom中的造型與動作極為相似。

The game titled Pickmon (精靈皮可) was recently released on Steam and quickly sparked major controversy within the gaming community. Many players argue that the game shows an extremely high degree of “asset stitching,” borrowing heavily—if not outright copying—from several well-known franchises, including Pokémon, Palworld, and The Legend of Zelda. Because of these similarities, internet users have jokingly labeled it the “ultimate stitched-together clone.”

One of the main controversies concerns character design. The game features more than one hundred creatures called “Pickmon,” but many players have pointed out that their shapes, color schemes, and design details closely resemble characters from the Pokémon series. Even the English name “Pickmon” is widely believed to imitate the pronunciation and spelling of “Pokémon,” making the connection even more obvious.

The game’s core gameplay has also been criticized for closely resembling Palworld. The title focuses on an open-world survival and crafting system in which players capture creatures and use them to build bases, farm resources, and even operate automated production lines and factory systems. This concept—turning captured creatures into a workforce within a production chain—has been widely described by critics as nearly identical to Palworld’s gameplay structure. Some commentators have even joked that it is “a copy of a copy.”

Another point of discussion involves the protagonist and the game’s visual presentation. In the trailer, the male protagonist appears wearing a green outfit with a similar hairstyle and performs gliding movements using a paraglider—features that many players say strongly resemble Link from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In addition, parts of the environmental rendering style and landscape design have been said to evoke a strong sense of déjà vu reminiscent of the Zelda series.

The only notable difference appears in the creature-capture mechanic. Instead of using throwable balls, the game uses a “card” system to capture creatures. However, this change has done little to reduce the accusations of copying from other titles.

The game was developed by PocketGame. Some players have also pointed out that the company’s name itself appears to resemble that of Pocketpair, the developer of Palworld, which has further fueled community discussions about the game’s highly derivative design.
