在《合金彈頭》（越南大戰）遊戲中，會出現一些被俘虜的老頭們。當被成功營救後，這些老頭會從褲子內掏出各種武器或道具來答謝。其中有一位會使用氣功的老頭，名叫一文字百太郎，他首次在《合金彈頭2》登場。雖然看起來和一般士兵沒有太大差異，實際上官階是少尉，任務是故意被捕來蒐集情報。

當救出一文字百太郎後，他會跟隨玩家，並在戰鬥中使用氣功和旋風腿來協助。如果玩家死亡，他會敬禮表示感謝後離開。如果能和一文字百太郎一起戰鬥，並且整個過程中都沒有死亡，將能獲得高分獎勵。

In the game "Metal Slug" , there are some elderly characters who appear as prisoners. When successfully rescued, these old men will pull out various weapons or items from their pants to thank the player. One of these elderly characters, who can use qigong, is named Hyakutaro Ichimonji. He first appears in "Metal Slug 2." Although he looks similar to regular soldiers, his rank is actually Second Lieutenant, and his mission is to intentionally get captured to gather intelligence.

After rescuing Hyakutaro Ichimonji, he will follow the player and assist in battle by using qigong and whirlwind kicks. If the player dies, he will salute in gratitude and then leave. If the player can fight alongside Hyakutaro Ichimonji and survive the entire process without dying, they will receive a high score reward.
