Final Fantasy X is a role-playing game released by Square (now Square Enix) in 2001, marking the series' debut on the PlayStation 2 platform. The game not only achieved revolutionary technological advancements but also introduced numerous innovations in story, characters, and battle systems, making it a milestone in the series. It was later ported to PS3, PS Vita, PS4, and Windows, with total sales surpassing 8 million copies. The character design utilized 3D models. In March 2003, a sequel, Final Fantasy X-2, was released, continuing the storyline from FFX.

The international version of the game featured English subtitles and voice acting, while the plot and battle scenes remained the same as the original. Additional summons and hidden aeons were also introduced.

Story Overview

The story takes place in the world of Spira, a fantastical continent composed of oceans, islands, and ancient ruins. During a blitzball tournament, his hometown is suddenly attacked and destroyed by a massive creature known as Sin. Tidus is engulfed by Sin and mysteriously transported to the unfamiliar world of Spira.

In Spira, Tidus encounters Yuna, a young summoner preparing to embark on a journey to save the world. Yuna’s mission follows the teachings of the "Yevon Church," summoning powerful aeons to battle Sin and ultimately destroy it. Yuna is not alone in her quest—her team includes the steadfast warrior Auron, the brave Tidus, and the skilled black mage Lulu, among others. As they journey together, Tidus forms deep bonds with Yuna and her companions, gradually uncovering Spira's hidden history and secrets.

As the story unfolds, Tidus realizes that Yuna’s mission is far more complex than he initially thought. Her challenges extend beyond defeating Sin and delve into deeper layers of religious beliefs, political intrigue, and the complex relationship between humanity and divine beings.
