日本任天堂老字號的招牌遊戲之一《星之卡比》，初版在1992年的Game Boy平台推出，系列作品持續在任天堂各大主機平台出現。特色是將敵人或物品吸入，然後在嘴巴內在吞入或吐出。除左右移動外，還可以進行漂浮。

2018年3月16日在Switch平台推出的《星之卡比 新星同盟》（星のカービィ スターアライズ/Kirby Star Allies），是該系列第30款續作，是首款推出繁體中文的遊戲。故事描述在遙遠的波普之星，因為進行神秘的迷之儀式，讓整個星球發生異變，並被黑暗的邪魔之心所圍繞著。為了拯救波普之星，卡比決定結合盟友們一起對抗敵人。

最多可以有四位玩家。除複製敵人的技能外，另一特色是可以透過邀請敵人變成夥伴，就能使用其能力，並組成攻擊力較強的組合技。整合不同的形態所創造出來的招式有冰蟬太刀、炎殺大劍、泉水之刃、雷神寶劍等新技能。不含混合技能的複製能力有28種，可加入的盟友有24位。主要五大屬性為火焰、冰雪、衝擊、電氣、風切。支援Amibo有卡比、瓦豆魯迪、魅塔騎士、帝帝帝大王和丘比。

舞台由五個大陸所組成，有和平的世界:噗噗噗之國、奇蹟的星球:波普之星、暗黑要塞:邪魔哈魯達、遙遠:閃耀光輝的勇者們及星之卡比:新星同盟。

"Kirby Star Allies," released on the Switch platform on March 16, 2018, is the 30th installment in the series and the first game in the franchise to support Traditional Chinese. The story unfolds on the distant planet of Pop Star, where a mysterious ritual causes the entire planet to undergo a transformation, surrounded by the darkness of evil hearts. To save Pop Star, Kirby decides to join forces with allies to fight against the enemies.

The game supports up to four players. In addition to copying enemy abilities, another feature is the ability to invite enemies to become allies, allowing players to use their abilities and form powerful combination attacks. These combined abilities include techniques like Blizzard Cutter, Blazing Sword, Splash Sword, and Thunderstorm Blade. There are 28 copy abilities without mixed abilities, and 24 allies that can be recruited. The main five attributes are fire, ice, impact, electric, and wind. Supported Amiibo include Kirby, Waddle Dee, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and ChuChu.

The game's stages consist of five continents, including the peaceful world of Dream Land, the miraculous planet of Pop Star, the dark fortress of Jambastion, the distant realm of the Jambandra, and Kirby's Star Allies.
