《勇者鬥惡龍2》（Dragon Quest II），又名《Dragon Warrior II》在北美地區，是由日本遊戲公司Enix（現為Square Enix）開發並於1987年1月26日首次在日本發行的角色扮演遊戲（RPG）。是《勇者鬥惡龍》系列的第二部作品，後來也在北美和歐洲地區發行。除任天堂的紅白機（Family Computer）平台外，還被移植到多個平台，包括MSX、Super Famicom、Game Boy Color、Wii、3DS、PS4、Switch、iOS和Android等。

勇者洛特（日版:Loto，又名Erdrick）打倒邪惡的龍王後，建立幾個國家。經過百年之後，他的子孫持續統治這些王國，其中包括薩馬多利亞王國(Cannock)和姆布魯克王國(Moonbrooke)。某日邪惡的大神官哈根（Hargon）率領怪物攻打蒙布克，國王不幸戰死，公主也失去蹤影。而一位驍勇善戰的士兵突破重圍，特別跟羅德西亞(Lorasia)國王報告後就傷重不治。於是擁有勇者血脈的王子奉父親的命令準備討伐大神官哈根，拯救被邪惡勢力侵襲的世界。

羅德西亞(Lorasia)王子必須尋找其他兩位王國的繼承人，分別是薩馬多利亞王國王子和姆布魯克王國公主。三位勇者組成隊伍，踏上征程去尋找擊敗哈根的方法。冒險過程中，勇者們需要探索各種城鎮、洞穴和迷宮，收集重要的道具和信息。最終會發現需要集齊五個徽章，分別是太陽徽章、月之徽章、水之徽章、生命之徽章、星之徽章，然後前往哈根的城堡進行最終決戰。在擊敗哈根後，還必須面對最終的破壞神席得（Malroth），在最終的戰鬥中取得勝利，恢復世界的和平。

主角雖然不會魔法，但是攻擊與防禦力是三人之中最強。薩馬多利亞王子無法使用許多武器跟盔甲，但是卻可以用魔法來彌補此缺點。姆布魯克王國公主同樣無法使用許多武器跟裝備，給敵人的魔法傷害卻是最強。

在戰鬥中，每個角色都有不同的屬性和技能，需要根據敵人的特性選擇合適的戰術來進行戰鬥。有一些技巧和密技可以更輕鬆地進行遊戲：

快速升級：在遊戲的初期，可以通過反覆挑戰特定的敵人來快速獲得經驗值，從而提升角色的等級。這樣可以在面對更強大的敵人時更有優勢。

《勇者鬥惡龍2》為《勇者鬥惡龍》系列的早期經典作品，相對於初代，增加更多的裝備與魔法設定，探險面積增加一倍。日版仍採用密碼來接關，海外版則是可以在教堂存檔，最多能存3個檔案。海外版的畫質跟音效大幅改善，在遊戲一開始還有劇情，而不是像日本僅以文字帶過。由於是三人團隊，因此相較於初代難度增加不少。

A brave soldier escapes the siege and reports the disaster to the King of Lorasia before succumbing to his wounds. The Prince of Lorasia, who has the hero's bloodline, is ordered by his father to defeat Hargon and save the world from the evil forces.

The Prince of Lorasia must seek out the other two royal heirs: the Prince of Cannock and the Princess of Moonbrooke. Together, the three heroes form a party and embark on a journey to find a way to defeat Hargon. Throughout their adventure, they explore various towns, caves, and dungeons, collecting important items and information. Eventually, they discover that they need to gather five crests: the Sun Crest, the Moon Crest, the Water Crest, the Life Crest, and the Star Crest. With these crests, they can enter Hargon's castle for the final showdown. After defeating Hargon, they must face the ultimate demon, Malroth, and achieve victory to restore peace to the world.

The main character, although unable to use magic, has the highest attack and defense power among the three. The Prince of Cannock cannot equip many weapons and armor but compensates with his ability to use magic. The Princess of Moonbrooke also cannot equip many weapons and armor, but her magic attacks are the strongest.

During battles, each character has different attributes and skills, and players need to choose appropriate strategies based on the enemy's characteristics. Some tips and tricks can help make the game easier:
