在電腦早期推出的《伊蘇國I》和《伊蘇國Ⅱ》受到廣泛歡迎，隨後移植到多個家用主機平台。1989年12月21日，Falcon製作，Hudson發行的《伊蘇國I、Ⅱ》（ィースI、Ⅱ/Ys Book I & II）集結I和II兩部作品於一片遊戲CD中，強化音效和畫面品質。

海外版本在TurboGrafx-CD上市。其他移植平台有Wii Virtual Console、PS2、NDS、PSP、Steam。PCE上還推出續作三代和四代，伊蘇系列被許多玩家公認為動作RPG的先驅作品。

故事描述主角在旅途中發現伊蘇國受到暗黑力量侵襲，為了讓和平永遠降臨在伊蘇國，冒險正式展開。遊戲一開始，等船靠岸後，需前往村莊交談，收集情報並補充物資。

遊戲中加入大量的動畫，畫面使用橫向捲軸移動進行任務和戰鬥。整體操作流暢，隨著經驗值累積，下方HP欄的血格也會增加。通過不斷取得更好的裝備，可以更有利地進行後續冒險。

在畫面中跳出儲存選項，按II即可在已存的擋案上進行選擇。當狀態畫面出現時，按選擇鈕即可知道目前所在的位置。

遊戲中存在許多密技:

1.想進入設定模式進行調整，可以輸入「いわさまひろまさ」的密碼。這時候會出現密碼錯誤的訊息，將浮標移動到「いいえ」表示不再輸入任何密碼，再回到接關(ロ-ド)的畫面按方向鈕的右，畫面就會跑出設定模式，就可針對「BGM」、「Sound」及「Item」等選擇。

2.如果玩家想要提高等級，不一定要全依靠戰鬥。在初期的《伊蘇國I》冒險時，在歐曼(ピム)商店購買藍寶石戒指「サファイアの指輪」後前往酒吧找到獨眼人德尼斯，然後到村鎮外的海邊撿金座「金の台座」，賣掉換錢後整頓好劍士的裝備再去沙拉(サラ)家，就能從原來的2等級升到3等級。

3.在與獨眼人對話時，當出現回答是(はい)和不是(いいん)時，按II會出現奇怪的訊息"這不是你要買的嗎?"「さつきあんたが買つたじやないか!」。

4.想要在一代全破中用最快速度，可以輸入最強密碼「あまのさけけけけけけけだ／だだだだだだだ／だだだだだだだののののの／ののののののの／ののののひひひひひぜ」，即可將等級跳到61，金錢65,535。

5.二代的最強密碼是「むべどひざ／すざすえざくく／くけじじじじじじじじじ／ばしししししし／しししししししししししし／ししししししし／しししし そる」。如果需要快速儲存，在畫面讀取儲存畫面，然後在己儲存記錄的襠案按下Ⅱ鈕即可。

6.輸入密碼「あどるくり／すていんはたい／へんつよいけんしだなああ／あああああああ／あああああああ あああああ／あああああああ／ああああああああああ」，將會以最高等級在草原上出現。但阿多魯(アドル)卻消失了。

7.如果想要在陷入牆壁中展開冒險，輸入全部都是「あ」的密碼即可。

8.在《伊蘇國I》受傷後前往クラーゼ的醫院，稍等的話會看到一名護士在貶眼。

9.進入ドルーガ所在的房間後，不要移動並向正前方使用ファイヤ魔法連續攻擊即可。

10.如果想要快速提升經驗值，可以來到蘭斯村的基拉家的地下室。在那使用邪惡之鈴，牆壁就會裂開一個洞。在裡面大量使用火的魔法就能輕鬆累積經驗值和金錢。

11.在神殿西邊的左下中庭處可以看到很小的按紐，就能取得能恢復MP的羅達樹果。

The early computer releases of "Ys I" and "Ys II" were widely acclaimed and later ported to various home console platforms. On December 21, 1989, Falcon developed and Hudson published "Ys I & II" (Ys Book I & II), combining both games on a single game CD and enhancing audio and visual quality.

The overseas version was released on TurboGrafx-CD. Other ported platforms include Wii Virtual Console, PS2, NDS, PSP, and Steam. Additionally, sequels three and four were released on the PCE, solidifying the Ys series as a pioneer in the action RPG genre, recognized by many players.

The story follows the protagonist who, during their journey, discovers that the land of Ys is under threat from dark forces. To ensure everlasting peace in Ys, the adventure officially begins. At the start of the game, after the ship docks, players need to visit the village, gather information, and replenish supplies.

The game incorporates numerous animations, and the screen uses horizontal scrolling for tasks and battles. The overall gameplay is smooth, and with accumulating experience points, the health gauge at the bottom increases. Continuously acquiring better equipment allows for more favorable progression in the adventure.

To access various cheats in the game:

1.To enter the settings mode for adjustments, input the password "いわさまひろまさ." When an error message appears, move the cursor to "いいえ" to indicate no more password entry. Return to the main screen (ロ-ド) and press right on the directional button; the settings mode will appear, allowing adjustments for "BGM," "Sound," and "Item."

2.For level advancement without relying solely on battles, early in "Ys I," purchase the Sapphire Ring from the Pim Shop and then find the one-eyed man, Denis, in the bar. Proceed to the seaside outside the village to pick up the Gold Pedestal. Sell it for money, organize the swordsman's equipment, and then go to Sara's house to level up from 2 to 3.

3.During a conversation with the one-eyed man, when presented with answers "はい" (yes) and "いいん" (no), press II to receive the peculiar message: "さつきあんたが買つたじやないか!"

4.For a quick completion in the first game, enter the strongest password: "あまのさけけけけけけけだ／だだだだだだだ／だだだだだだだののののの／ののののののの／ののののひひひひひぜ." This will boost the level to 61 and money to 65,535.

5.The strongest password for the second game is: "むべどひざ／すざすえざくく／くけじじじじじじじじじ／ばしししししし／しししししししししししし／ししししししし／しししし そる." For quick saving, on the save record screen, press II on the saved record.

6.Enter the password: "あどるくり／すていんはたい／へんつよいけんしだなああ／あああああああ／あああああああ あああああ／あああああああ／ああああああああああ," will make the highest level appear on the plains, but Adoru (アドル) disappears.

7.For an adventure while trapped in a wall, enter the password consisting entirely of "あ."

8.In "Ys I," after being injured, go to the Clarse hospital. If you wait, you'll see a nurse rolling her eyes.

9.After entering the room where Druaga is located, do not move and continuously attack with the Fire magic towards the front to defeat the enemy.

10.If you want to quickly gain experience points, go to the basement of Kira's house in Lance Village. Use the Evil Bell there, and a hole will open in the wall. Use a lot of fire magic inside to easily accumulate experience points and money.

11.In the left bottom courtyard west of the temple, you can find a small button. Press it to obtain a Rota Fruit that restores MP.
