On March 15th, Chinese state television aired a program exposing fake food products. In the program, it was found that many people enjoy eating starch sausages, which cost only 50 cents RMB each. The reason for their cheap price is that most of the ingredients inside are made from recycled chicken meat and chicken bone paste. Moreover, some manufacturers even add a large amount of starch mixed with cheap duck blood. Experts point out that bone paste is not suitable for human consumption because the nutrients in it cannot be absorbed by the human body and are usually used as animal feed.
