卡普空於1991年12月20日推出Game Boy遊戲《洛克人2 / 洛克人世界2》（ロックマンワールド2 / Mega Man II / Rockman World II）。隔年海外版本上市。遊戲為單人橫向捲軸移動遊戲，擁有2MB的記憶體容量，並提供密碼接關功能。2013年9月25日起，可在3DS Virtual Console上下載這款遊戲。

故事情節延續WonderSwan遊戲《Rockman & Forte: Mirai Kara no Chōsensha》。遊戲的架構類似紅白機版本，前四個關卡來自《洛克人2》，後四個關卡則來自《洛克人3》，同時導入許多第三代的特色。角色可以進行滑行，並使用Rush Coil、Rush Marine和Rush Jet等功能。

劇情描述在被洛克人擊敗後，威利博士偷走時光機，但發現機器存在嚴重問題，只能放棄原計劃。修復後，時光機只能穿梭到未來，具體來說是西元37.426年，那時整個世界已處於和平狀態，洛克人已成為家庭機器人。

威利博士說服未來的自己綁架洛克人進行改造，使其成為戰鬥機器人昆特。需要擊敗現有的八位機器人，才能對抗未來的洛克人。

即使關卡挑戰成功，仍可再次進入。相比紅白機版本，本作難度大幅降低，操作性極佳，並且沒有時間限制。畫面下方顯示玩家的生命值和生命數，按下暫停鍵即可切換其他機器人或使用道具。

前半段的機器人包括金屬人（弱點：炸彈）、樹木人（弱點：金屬飛鏢）、空氣人（弱點：樹葉護盾）和毀滅人（弱點：小型龍捲風）。後半段的機器人有剛硬人（弱點：磁鐵）、刺針人（弱點：陀螺旋轉）、磁鐵人（弱點：針刺）和陀螺人（弱點：鋼鐵飛拳）。昆特的武器是Sakugarne，弱點是鋼鐵飛拳，而威利機器I和II的弱點分別是Sakugarne和鋼鐵飛拳。

通關的順序應該是樹木人、空氣人、毀滅人、金屬人。最後一關的密碼:A1、A3、A4、B3、C1、C2、C3、D1、D3。

Capcom released the Game Boy game "Mega Man II / Rockman World II"(ロックマンワールド2) on December 20, 1991. The overseas version was launched the following year. The game is a single-player side-scrolling action game with a 2MB memory capacity and password save feature. Starting from September 25, 2013, players could download this game on the 3DS Virtual Console.

The story continues from the WonderSwan game "Rockman & Forte: Mirai Kara no Chōsensha." The game structure is similar to the NES version, with the first four stages from "Mega Man II" and the latter four from "Mega Man 3," introducing many features of the third generation. Characters can slide and utilize abilities like Rush Coil, Rush Marine, and Rush Jet.

The plot follows Dr. Wily, who, after being defeated by Mega Man, steals a time machine but encounters severe problems with it. After repairing it, the time machine can only travel to the future, specifically to the year 37,426 AD, where the world is at peace, and Mega Man has become a household robot.

Dr. Wily convinces his future self to kidnap Mega Man for modification into a combat robot named Quint. Players must defeat the eight existing Robot Masters to confront the future Mega Man.

Even after completing the stages, players can replay them. Compared to the NES version, this game has significantly reduced difficulty, excellent controls, and still no time limit. The player's health and lives are displayed at the bottom of the screen, and by pausing, player can switch between different characters or use items.

The first set of Robot Masters includes Metal Man (weakness: Crash Bomb), Wood Man (weakness: Metal Blade), Air Man (weakness: Leaf Shield), and Crash Man (weakness: Air Shooter). The latter set includes Hard Man (weakness: Magnet Missile), Needle Man (weakness: Air Shooter /Top Spin), Magnet Man (weakness: Needle Cannon), and Top Man (weakness: Hard Knuckle). Quint's weapon is Sakugarne, with its weakness being Hard Knuckle. Dr. Wily Machine I and II's weaknesses are Sakugarne and Hard Knuckle, respectively.

The recommended stage order is Wood Man, Air Man, Crash Man, and Metal Man. The password for the final stage is: A1, A3, A4, B3, C1, C2, C3, D1, and D3.
