1.首先到第1之2關盡頭的隱藏跳關水管，可以直接跳到第2、3、4世界。在第4-2關出口的上方，可直達第5世界。

2.在第3-1關快要到升旗前會出現一個爬坡，兩隻烏龜會慢慢地走過來，首先踢掉第一隻烏龜，然後對第二隻烏龜進行踢擊。一開始會開始加分，持續一陣子後就會開始加台數，當時間結束後，瑪利歐就掛掉，重新開始的時候，就會出現奇怪的圖案組合，這樣就算操作成功。第6-2關、第7-1關的階梯上，向上垂直跳起，連續自動重複踩踏烏龜的背殼，也可以獲得無限加台數。

3.除負世界的關卡外，瑪利歐卡帶還隱藏著原本製作團隊就設定好的第9關，進入後透過秘技後還能找到第256關的其中一個關卡。

要進入隱藏的世界，手上需要有網球跟瑪利歐兩款遊戲，首先將瑪利歐卡帶插入主機，打開電源會出現首頁畫面，電源不要切掉，然後取出卡帶，再插人網球卡帶按RESET鍵，開始玩網球的遊戲，玩一陣子後，一樣不要關掉電源拔出卡帶，再將瑪利歐卡帶插回，按RESET鍵出現首頁畫面時，一直按住A鈕後再按開始就會出現隱藏的第256關其中的一個關卡。

第256關卡的出現取決於玩網球遊戲的時間長短，此外秘技的操作很傷主機，因此不建議長時間使用。

4.遊戲並沒有無限接關的設定，只能透過拿到100個金幣或吃到1UP香菇來增加生命，而此密技可以透過不斷加分來達到無限接關，就不用擔心如果台數不夠掛

掉之後就要重新從第一關開始的問題（如果購買RETRO FREAK主機也不用擔心接關，可直接進行存檔）。

當遊戲結束時，一邊按A鈕，一邊按開始，就可以從遊戲結束時的第一關開始。假設在第7-4關Game Over，則會在第7-1開始。

5.加分煙火:在過關時跳旗桿，若秒數剛好是1、3、6時，則每個煙火加500分。

Cheat Codes

1. First, go to the hidden warp pipe at the end of World 1-2, which allows you to skip directly to Worlds 2, 3, or 4. At the end of World 4-2, you can find a warp pipe that takes you directly to World 5.

2. In World 3-1, just before reaching the flagpole, you will encounter a slope with two Koopas walking towards you. Kick the first Koopa and then the second. Initially, this will start adding points, and after a while, it will start adding extra lives. When time runs out, Mario will die, and upon restarting, strange patterns will appear, indicating successful execution of the trick. Similarly, in Worlds 6-2 and 7-1, you can achieve unlimited lives by vertically jumping on the stairs and continuously bouncing on a Koopa shell.

3. Besides the Minus World, the Super Mario Bros. cartridge also has a hidden World 9, originally set by the development team. By using a special trick, you can even access one of the levels in World 256.

To enter the hidden worlds, you need both a Tennis and a Mario game cartridge. First, insert the Mario cartridge into the console and turn it on to display the title screen. Without turning off the power, remove the cartridge and insert the Tennis cartridge. Press the RESET button and play Tennis for a while. Without turning off the power, remove the Tennis cartridge and reinsert the Mario cartridge. Press the RESET button again, and when the title screen appears, hold down the A button and press Start. This will bring you to one of the levels in World 256. The specific level in World 256 you access depends on how long you played the Tennis game. Note that this trick can be harsh on the console, so it is not recommended for prolonged use.

4. The game does not have a built-in continue feature, so you can only gain extra lives by collecting 100 coins or finding 1UP mushrooms. This trick allows you to achieve infinite continues by continuously adding points, so you don't have to worry about restarting from the beginning if you run out of lives (if you have a RETRO FREAK console, you can save the game directly and continue without worry).

When the game ends, hold down the A button and press Start to continue from the first level of the world where the game ended. For example, if you get a Game Over on World 7-4, you will start again from World 7-1.

5. Bonus Fireworks: When you jump onto the flagpole to finish a level, if the last digit of the timer is 1, 3, or 6, you will receive 500 points for each firework.
