1991年3月1日上市的Game Boy遊戲《機械戰警》（ロボコップ/RoboCop）是根據1987年同名電影所推出的單機遊戲，Epic/Sony發行，記憶體為1M。早期由Data East與Sakata SAS負責開發製作。1988年最初在街機上市，隔年移植到Famicom/NES。

玩家將操控半人半機器的混合體機械戰警艾利克斯（Alex Murphy）。主要的任務是揭發一個隱藏在OCP內部的陰謀。底特律當地的著名黑幫販賣新型的致命毒品，並有強大的機器人撐腰。主角作為警察部門的最後希望，需要在每個關卡摧毀敵人蒐集人證與物證，並揪出OCP內部的害群之馬。可以使用六種不同的武器，可用來提升火力，保護善良的老百姓。

按A是跳躍，B則是射擊。遊戲共有10個關卡，並設有時間限制。當Power耗盡就會失去一條生命。操作起來與街機版類似，但難度卻大幅提升，最好能熟練斜角射擊敵人，後期敵人數量相當驚人。在電影出現過的女性人質被挾質的場景將會再現。如果瞄準錯誤射中人質，則遊戲會馬上結束。

在鋼鐵廠的最後倒數的第二階段，處理掉克拉倫斯·博迪克並拿走他的眼鏡蛇槍。這時候就能使用，並能發射10次。如果在裝備眼鏡蛇槍的情況下移動並擊倒敵人，這時候彈藥會增加。在鋼鐵廠的最後碰到ED-209時，如果手上有眼鏡蛇槍並跳躍擊中ED-209，彈藥會增加到92。 如果在能量罐附近故意被射擊，死前觸碰一下能量罐就能直接進入下一個關卡。

The Game Boy game "RoboCop," released on March 1, 1991, is a standalone game based on the 1987 movie of the same name. It was published by Epic/Sony with a memory size of 1MB. Originally developed by Data East and Sakata SAS, it was first launched in arcades in 1988 and later ported to Famicom/NES the following year.

Players control the half-human, half-machine hybrid RoboCop named Alex Murphy. The main mission is to uncover a conspiracy hidden within OCP. In the streets of Detroit, a notorious gang sells a new deadly drug with powerful robots backing them up. As the last hope of the police department, the protagonist needs to destroy enemies and collect evidence to expose the troublemakers within OCP. There are six different weapons available to upgrade firepower and protect innocent civilians.

The A button is for jumping, and the B button is for shooting. There are 10 levels in the game with a time limit. Losing all power results in losing a life. The gameplay is similar to the arcade version but with significantly increased difficulty. It's best to master diagonal shooting to deal with the surprisingly large number of enemies in later stages. Scenes with female hostages, as seen in the movie, will be recreated. Accidentally shooting a hostage will immediately end the game.

In the final countdown phase at the steel mill, disposing of Clarence Boddicker and taking his Cobra gun allows its usage, with 10 shots. Moving with the Cobra gun and defeating enemies increases ammunition. When encountering ED-209 at the steel mill's end, if equipped with the Cobra gun and jumping to hit ED-209, ammunition increases to 92.

Intentionally being shot near an energy tank and touching it before dying allows direct entry into the next level.
