Isolated from central command, the player must conduct operations independently, working alongside marines, mercenaries, and even convicted soldiers. Each mission involves responding to distress signals from various planets, deciding whether to intervene in local conflicts, and balancing scarce resources. Every choice influences how factions perceive you—determining alliances, enmities, and future opportunities. You may strike deals with black-market arms dealers to obtain powerful weapons or instead invest in upgrading the Impulse, enabling orbital bombardments and support capabilities. Gameplay continues Overhype Studios’ hallmark turn-based tactical design.
