遊戲以橫向捲軸移動為特色，敘述小精靈為將迷路的仙女送回仙境，必須避開沿途的陷阱及敵人，而展開一連串的冒險。

遊戲共包含8個冒險，共32個關卡。當所有冒險結束後，遊戲將以第5輪重新開始。前兩輪結束時，出現"BRREAK TIME"標誌即可完成，此時玩家可隨著音樂跳躍，根據離地面的距離計算分數，獲得100到7650分不等的獎勵。

遊戲的，前3輪為前進至仙境，第4輪則是返回。從家中出發，穿越城鎮、森林、山脈、沙漠、池塘、橋樑與城堡。

當完成前2輪時，看到"BRREAK TIME"即完成，可隨著音樂跳躍，根據離地面的距離計算分數，獎勵範圍為100到7650分。完成第3輪挑戰後，可從仙女媽媽手中獲得可飛翔的靴子，隨後遊戲進入重複階段，但難度大幅增加。

主要道具包括：

能量顆粒：可暫時吃掉精靈與小精靈的能力。每次掉一個，會從200依序增加到400、800、1600、3200，最後每吃掉一個精靈就能獲得7650。

Lucky Pac：吃掉四個精靈後，吃掉幸運精靈可得到剩餘時間的獎勵，並補充剩餘的時間。最高可得到7650分。

鑰匙：可打開城堡關卡的門。

氣球：收集以累積積分，可推移某些消防栓、仙人掌或樹樁揭開花朵。

花：提升神秘力量，跳躍到某些位置即可出現。

隱形：在一定時間內隱身，避免敵人攻擊，有時需要在消防栓、仙人掌或樹樁找到。

銀河星：獎賞7650分。

特別小精靈：得到額外生命，在第4輪和第16輪某些地點盤旋可獲得。

頭盔：避免來自上方的精靈攻擊，隱藏在某些消防栓、仙人掌或樹樁，維持至旅行結束或失去生命為止。

水果分數會隨著收集數量增加而提升：

櫻桃：100、300、500、1000分。

草莓：300、500、1000、1500分。

橘子：500、1000、1500、2000分。

蘋果：1000、1500、2000、2500分。

甜瓜：1500、2000、2500、3000分。

遊戲中的技巧跟密技：

1.遊戲結束時，輸入其中一位工作人員的名字「KISSIE」、「OSUGI」、「YURI」，字體將呈現紅色或黃色閃動，也可在街機版中試用此密技。

2.隱藏的設定功能：在標題畫面出現時，按Ⅰ和Ⅱ，然後按RUN。小精靈將變大，開始工作人員介紹。再次輸入相同指令，可以選擇關卡(SKIP)和生命數，再按RUN即可變成音樂模式及聲效測試。

3.無敵狀態：進入選關畫面(SKIP)後，按十字鍵的下100次，當SKIP的下方出現NO MISS時，表示無敵狀態設定成功。掉落海底或其他陷阱不會減少生命數，被敵人擊中也不會死亡。

4.超難關卡：有兩種進入方式，一是在選關區連續按上10次，二是全破通關後在結束畫面按開始鍵。

其他技巧：

1.在小精靈脫下帽子的旋空瞬間按RESET(選擇+RUN)，小精靈的帽子就會一直旋空。

2.在山中掉谷底時，在畫面消失瞬間按跳躍，可在沒有著地點的情況下跳起來。

3.在遊戲進行中，持續按住I跟II就能展開滑行。在回家的路上.第4、8、12、16、20、24、28、32回合，持續讓小精靈向右邊移動，按I的時候再按右，這樣小精靈的腿就會開始出現顫抖。

4.在遊戲中的第14、19、30關，需在屋中拿到鑰匙才能過關，但也可以不需要鑰匙，只要跳進門與地面的交接處即可。

The series was launched by Namco in arcades in 1984, titled "PAC-LAND" (パックランド/PAC-LAND). It was later ported to the PCE on June 1, 1989, followed by the release of an overseas version.

The game features horizontal scrolling and tells the story of a little sprite on a quest to return a lost fairy to her enchanted realm, navigating through traps and enemies, embarking on a series of adventures.

The game comprises 8 adventures with a total of 32 levels. Once all adventures are completed, the game cycles back to the 5th round. Upon completing the first two rounds, the player encounters the "BREAK TIME" sign, allowing them to jump along with the music. Scores are calculated based on the distance from the ground, ranging from 100 to 7650 points.

The gameplay involves progressing through the first 3 rounds to reach the fairy realm, with the 4th round being the return journey. Starting from home, players traverse through towns, forests, mountains, deserts, ponds, bridges, and castles.

Upon completing the first 2 rounds, encountering "BREAK TIME" allows players to jump to the music, earning scores ranging from 100 to 7650 based on the distance from the ground. After completing the 3rd round challenge, players receive flying boots from the fairy mother, and the game enters a repeating phase with increased difficulty.

Key items include:

Energy Pellets: Temporarily remove the abilities of ghosts and micro-ghosts. Each one dropped increases the score from 200 to 3200, with the last one earning 7650 points.

Lucky Pac: Eating four ghosts and then the lucky Pac (displaying the letter L) rewards remaining time and supplements it. The maximum score is 7650 points.

Keys: Open the doors of castle levels.

Balloons: Collecting them accumulates points and can shift certain hydrants, cacti, or tree stumps to reveal flowers.

Flowers: Enhance mystical powers and appear when jumping to specific locations.

Invisibility: Grants invisibility for a certain period, avoiding enemy attacks. Sometimes found at hydrants, cacti, or tree stumps.

Galaxy Star: Rewards 7650 points.

Special Pac: Earn extra lives by hovering over specific locations in the 4th and 16th rounds.

Helmet: Protects from attacks coming from above, hidden in certain hydrants, cacti, or tree stumps, lasting until the end of the journey or losing a life.

Fruit scores increase with the number collected:

Cherry: 100, 300, 500, 1000 points.

Strawberry: 300, 500, 1000, 1500 points.

Orange: 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 points.

Apple: 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 points.

Melon: 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000 points.

Tips and Cheats in the Game:

Staff Names Effect: Enter the name of one of the staff members, such as "KISSIE," "OSUGI," or "YURI" when the game ends. The font will flash in red or yellow. This cheat can also be tried in the arcade version.

Hidden Setting Function: On the title screen, press buttons I and II, then press RUN. The Pac will become larger, and staff introductions will begin. Input the same command again to choose levels (SKIP) and lives. Press RUN again to enter music mode and sound effect testing.

Invincibility State: On the level selection screen (SKIP), press the down arrow 100 times. When "NO MISS" appears below SKIP, the invincibility state is successfully set. Falling into the sea or other traps will not decrease lives, and getting hit by enemies will not result in death.

Super Difficult Level: There are two ways to enter this level. First, press up 10 times in the level selection area. Second, after completing all levels, press the start button on the ending screen.

Other Tips:

Hat Spin Trick: During the Pac's spinning animation when the hat is taken off, press RESET (select + RUN), and the Pac's hat will keep spinning.

Valley Jump Trick: When falling into a valley in the mountain level, press jump right when the screen disappears to jump without landing.

Continuous Slide: During the game, continuously hold buttons I and II to initiate a slide. On the way back home in rounds 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, continue moving the sprite to the right while holding I, then press right. This will make the sprite's legs start trembling.

Skipping Key Requirement: In levels 14, 19, and 30, where you need to get a key inside a house to proceed, you can skip the key requirement by simply jumping at the junction between the door and the ground.
