1989年推出的Game Boy版《俄羅斯方塊》總銷量超過350萬片，是由蘇聯科學院研究員阿列克謝·帕基特諾夫(Alexey Leonidovich Pajitnov)於1984年6月開發的電腦遊戲。

遊戲操作相當簡單，共有七種不同的方塊在欄位內出現，玩家需透過左右移動或上下旋轉，當圖形一致且無任何空隙時即可消除，達到目標分數即算過關。隨著關卡進展，節奏會加快，若無法及時消除方塊使圖形堆疊至頂端，遊戲即宣告挑戰失敗。

Game Boy版的《俄羅斯方塊》不僅支援與電腦對戰，還可透過連線進行雙人對戰。遊戲分為A和B版本，音樂則有A、B、C和靜音四種選擇。A版本可挑戰0至9關，而B版本則除了0至9關外，還有0~5等級的障礙難度，並顯示前三名最高分的玩家。

畫面右側顯示需消除的線條，完成即過關；右中方是已經消除的方塊，右下方則是即將出現的方塊。每次平行消除一條線可獲得40分，消除兩條線可獲得100分，消除三條線可獲得300分，而一次消除四條線（即Tetris）可獲得1200分。

至今，在許多主機平台上仍可見到俄羅斯方塊遊戲的身影，透過簡單的設計帶來無窮樂趣。在當年的歐美海外市場，任天堂的Game Boy主機與俄羅斯方塊同捆販售，間接刺激遊戲片的整體銷售。在Game Boy Color主機上，更推出強化版的俄羅斯方塊DX，玩法更加多元，挑戰玩家的反應速度。

The Game Boy version of "Tetris," launched in 1989, achieved a total sales volume exceeding 3.5 million units. It was developed by Soviet scientist Alexey Leonidovich Pajitnov in June 1984.

The gameplay is quite simple, featuring seven different tetrominoes that appear in the playfield. Players must move them left or right and rotate them to eliminate lines when they are complete with no gaps, reaching the target score to progress. As the levels advance, the pace increases, and failure occurs if the player cannot eliminate the blocks in time, causing the stack to reach the top.

The Game Boy version of "Tetris" offers not only single-player mode against the computer but also a two-player mode through a link cable. The game is divided into A and B versions, with choices of A, B, C, or mute for music. The A version allows players to challenge levels 0 to 9, while the B version adds obstacle difficulty levels 0 to 5, displaying the top three players' high scores.

The right side of the screen displays the lines to be cleared, with completion leading to passing the level. The upper right shows cleared blocks, and the lower right indicates the upcoming tetrominoes. Scoring includes 40 points for clearing one line, 100 points for clearing two lines, 300 points for three lines, and a substantial 1200 points for clearing four lines (Tetris).

Even today, the presence of "Tetris" can be observed on various gaming platforms, providing endless fun through its simple design. In the overseas markets of Europe and America during its release, Nintendo's Game Boy console was bundled with "Tetris," indirectly boosting the overall sales of the game cartridges. On the Game Boy Color console, an enhanced version, "Tetris DX," was introduced with more diverse gameplay, challenging players' agility.
