2015年上市的《耀西 毛線世界》（Yoshi's Woolly World）採用橫向捲軸移動。由Good-Feel開發，任天堂負責發行，是《耀西島》系列的一部分。由過去製作《耀西島》、《耀西物語》的手塚卓志擔任監製，用毛線及拼圖等設定營造可愛關卡，如同超任版本的攻擊模式，用舌頭將敵人捲入後再吐出，可按↓鍵產生毛線球，再丟出攻擊敵人。

故事背景設定在一個名為Craft Island的世界上，這是一個充滿毛線和布料的奇幻世界。故事開始時，邪惡的庫巴族最強魔法師卡美克(Kamek)襲擊Craft Island，並用魔法把所有的耀西變成毛線球後擄走，只有兩隻耀西逃過這場災難。需要透過兩隻耀西，穿越各種毛線編織的關卡，收集毛線球來恢復其他耀西的原貌，並最終打敗Kamek，拯救Craft Island。

有別於瑪莉歐系列有時間設定，可以慢慢探索每個關卡，並找出隱藏道具。最多可以兩個角色出現在螢幕上，2P也可以被耀西吞下肚後丟出。操作方式上，使用Wii U的GamePad來控制耀西。基本操作包括移動、跳躍、舔舐敵人、製作毛線蛋（取代傳統的蛋）來攻擊敵人或解決謎題。還可以在空中漂浮一段時間，在跳躍中使用非常有用。

由六個主要世界組成，每個世界由多個關卡組成。每個舞台都充滿秘密和收集品，例如毛線束、花朵和郵票。毛線束可以用來恢復被變成毛線球的耀西，花朵則關係到解鎖隱藏關卡，而郵票可以用來在Miiverse上發帖使用(Miiverse已經於2017年11月8日結束營運)。

在遊戲中，每個關卡都有5朵花朵及五團毛線，隱藏寶石並不是過關必要物件，而是可當成貨幣購買特殊的徽章，這些徽章可以給耀西提供各種有用的能力，如無限跳躍或免疫陷阱。完成關卡後會依照殘剩的HP進行評分，若取得全部花朵，則有時會出現獎勵關卡，取得遊戲所有花朵就會出現隱藏關卡。而amiibo可解鎖特殊的服裝和能力，例如瑪利歐、林克或其他角色的amiibo，可以讓耀西穿上這些角色的特製毛線服裝。註:寶可夢的amiibo不會有任何效果，只會在衣服上出現logo。

Released in 2015, "Yoshi's Woolly World" features side-scrolling gameplay. Developed by Good-Feel and published by Nintendo, it is part of the "Yoshi's Island" series. Directed by Takashi Tezuka, who previously worked on "Yoshi's Island" and "Yoshi's Story," the game uses yarn and patchwork settings to create adorable levels. Similar to the Super Nintendo version, Yoshi attacks by using his tongue to wrap enemies and spit them out. By pressing the down arrow, Yoshi produces yarn balls that can be thrown to attack enemies.

The story is set in a world called Craft Island, a magical place filled with yarn and fabric. The story begins with Kamek, the strongest sorcerer of the Koopa Troop, attacking Craft Island and using magic to transform all the Yoshis into yarn balls, kidnapping them in the process. Only two Yoshis escape this disaster. Players must guide these two Yoshis through various yarn-knitted levels to collect yarn balls and restore the other Yoshis to their original forms. Ultimately, they must defeat Kamek and save Craft Island.

Unlike the Mario series, which has time limits, players can take their time exploring each level and finding hidden items. Up to two characters can appear on screen, and in 2-player mode, one Yoshi can swallow the other and spit them out. The game is controlled using the Wii U GamePad. Basic controls include moving, jumping, licking enemies, and creating yarn eggs (replacing traditional eggs) to attack enemies or solve puzzles. Yoshi can also float for a short time in the air, which is very useful for jumping.

The game consists of six main worlds, each with multiple levels. Every stage is filled with secrets and collectibles, such as yarn bundles, flowers, and stamps. Yarn bundles are used to restore Yoshis transformed into yarn balls, while flowers are related to unlocking hidden levels. Stamps can be used to post on Miiverse (which ended service on November 8, 2017).

Each level has five flowers and five yarn bundles. Hidden gems are not necessary to complete a level but can be used as currency to purchase special badges. These badges grant Yoshi various useful abilities, such as unlimited jumping or immunity to traps. At the end of each level, players are scored based on their remaining HP. If all the flowers in a level are collected, bonus levels sometimes appear. Collecting all the flowers in the game unlocks hidden levels. Amiibo figures can unlock special costumes and abilities. For example, Mario, Link, or other character amiibos can make Yoshi wear special yarn costumes themed after these characters. Note: Pokémon amiibos do not have any special effects, only showing a logo on the costume.
