故事背景設定在波普之星（Planet Popstar）。某日，一道神秘的黑暗力量從天空中降臨，吸走世界的所有顏色。卡比和頭巾瓦豆魯迪發現他們被轉變成黏土形態，無法自由行動。這時，彩虹精靈艾莉恩（Elline）出現，告訴卡比背後是黑暗魔王（Claycia）施展詛咒，並奪走世界的顏色，於是卡比和艾莉恩的冒險旅程就此展開。

除卡比外還能使用其他3個角色，操作方式獨特且創新，透過Wii U GamePad的觸摸屏來進行遊戲。卡比在遊戲中變成一個黏土球，需要使用觸控筆在觸摸屏上畫出彩虹軌跡進行移動。透過不同的軌跡來控制移動方向和速度，還可以用避免受到敵人的攻擊。在軌跡上滾動、跳躍，並利用軌跡來攻擊敵人和收集星星。當收集100個的星星後，可以觸發強力的「星星衝擊」技能，清除屏幕上的敵人和障礙物。有多種不同的變身能力，可以變身成坦克、潛水艇和火箭等，這些變身能力都有獨特的操作方式和攻擊技能。

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (タッチ！カービィ スーパーレインボー) is an action game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Wii U. It was first released in Japan on January 22, 2015, and later in North America, Europe, and Australia. This game is the sequel to Kirby: Canvas Curse, which was released on the DS platform on March 24, 2005.

The story is set on Planet Popstar. One day, a mysterious dark force descends from the sky and drains the world of all its colors. Kirby and Waddle Dee find themselves transformed into clay figures, unable to move freely. At this moment, the rainbow fairy Elline appears and informs Kirby that the dark demon Claycia is behind the curse and has stolen the world’s colors. Thus, Kirby and Elline embark on an adventurous journey to restore the colors.

In addition to Kirby, three other characters can be used. The game features a unique and innovative control method, utilizing the Wii U GamePad's touchscreen. In the game, Kirby transforms into a clay ball. Players must use the stylus on the touchscreen to draw rainbow paths for Kirby to move along. By drawing different paths, players can control Kirby’s direction and speed and avoid enemy attacks. Kirby can roll, jump on the paths, attack enemies, and collect stars.
