1991年5月24日在Game Boy平台上市的《雪人兄弟Jr.》（スノーブラザース ジュニア /Snow Bros.Jr.），是從1990年 東亞企劃(Toaplan)的同名街機所移植，Dual負責開發，由Naxat Soft在日本發行，隔年1月由Capcom在北美推出。操作模式跟畫面都相當類似，最大差異在GB版改成單人模式，其他移植的平台還有FC/NES、Mega Drive、手機，改版的《Snow Bros Special》在NS發行。 

東亞企劃在1994年推出《雪人兄弟2》(Snow Bros. 2: With New Elves)後，沒多久宣布倒閉，該作品由廠商Hanafram發行，版權最終由 日本公司Tatsujin持有。FC/NES版本的故事描述尼克跟湯姆王子被焦奇國王施咒變成雪人，雙胞胎公主泰瑞跟蒂娜也被擄走，於是王子們決定用雪人的技能，準備擊敗魔王並救出公主。玩法類似泡泡龍，只要將畫面上的敵人弄成雪人擊潰，就可往下個關卡移動，沒有時間上的限制，玩家可慢慢的進行挑戰。

GB版本劇情是湯姆在國王(King Scorch)的冰宮神秘的失蹤，而太陽正持續的燃燒中，尼克需要拯救雙胞胎兄弟，並取得太陽的心，讓整個世界恢復正常。依照這樣的劇情改編就能解釋為何是單人進行的遊戲。 

總共有50個關卡，每10個關卡會有一位頭目需要挑戰，GB版本則有60個舞台。 

主要用手把進行左右移動，透過射擊方式將敵人變成雪球後丟出，也可以利用雪球跳躍到其他更高的地方。遊戲的優點是時間拖比較久的時候 也不會有鬼出現抓玩家，泡泡龍的設計就相當緊湊。當有敵人出現在難以到達的地方時，在一定的時間內會主動靠近。 

當跟著雪球移動的時候，滾動期間會處於無敵狀態，可透過不規則彈跳及碰觸來消滅敵人。若用單一雪球將所有敵人打倒，就會出現獎金，在GB版本出現的獎金，拿到一個有500分。當讓敵人停止移動時，會出現圓形怪物，變成雪球會就會出現字母，推出雪球後就能得到文字，當收集到「S」、「N」、「O」、「W」，就能增加一生命數。 

除了吃壽司加分外，輔助道具有四種顏色的藥水。綠藥水能在一定時間內變成無敵。紅藥水則能提升移動速度，藥水是強化射擊的力量，拋出更多雪的數量覆蓋敵人。黃藥水增加射出雪的距離。當失去生命的時候，原本獲得的強化狀態會消失。GB主機的畫面因為缺乏顏色的差異，藥水會以不同圖案呈現。 

遊戲並沒有密碼或是存檔，但是卻隱藏許多密技。 

無敵密技(Invincibility mode):當標題畫面出現的時候，按住左下+A+B，然後按開始進入遊戲，就會發現已經呈現無敵狀態。只需花一小時左右的時間就能全破。 

選關及進入隱藏的00舞台:在標題畫面出現時，按上+選擇+B，在按開始就會出現舞台選項，這時候選擇10的倍數然後按上，就可能出現00舞台。

On May 24, 1991, "Snow Bros. Jr." (スノーブラザース ジュニア) was released for the Game Boy platform. This game was a port of the 1990 arcade game by Toaplan, developed by Dual and published by Naxat Soft in Japan. It was released in North America by Capcom in January of the following year. The gameplay and visuals are quite similar to the original, with the main difference being that the Game Boy version is a single-player game. Other platforms for this game include the FC/NES, Mega Drive, and mobile phones. A revised version, "Snow Bros. Special," was released for the Nintendo Switch.

After Toaplan released "Snow Bros. 2: With New Elves" in 1994, the company soon announced its closure. The game was published by Hanafram, and the rights eventually went to the Japanese company Tatsujin. The story of the FC/NES version revolves around princes Nick and Tom, who are cursed by King Scorch and turned into snowmen. The twin princesses Teri and Tina are also kidnapped, prompting the princes to use their snowman skills to defeat the evil king and rescue the princesses. The gameplay is similar to "Bubble Bobble," where players need to turn enemies into snowmen and defeat them to advance to the next level, with no time limit for each stage, allowing players to proceed at their own pace.

In the Game Boy version, the plot involves Tom mysteriously disappearing in King Scorch's ice palace while the sun continues to burn. Nick needs to rescue his twin brother and obtain the heart of the sun to restore balance to the world. This storyline explains why the game is single-player.

The game features a total of 50 levels, with a boss to challenge every 10 levels, while the Game Boy version has 60 stages.

Players use the controller to move left and right, turning enemies into snowballs through shooting, which can then be thrown. Snowballs can also be used to jump to higher places. A key advantage of the game is that there is no ghost appearing to catch the player if the game takes too long, unlike in "Bubble Bobble," which has a more intense design. If enemies appear in hard-to-reach places, they will eventually move closer to the player within a certain time frame.

When moving with a rolling snowball, the player becomes invincible and can destroy enemies through irregular bouncing and contact. Defeating all enemies with a single snowball grants bonus points, with a bonus item worth 500 points appearing in the Game Boy version. When stopping an enemy's movement, a round monster appears, and turning it into a snowball reveals a letter. Collecting letters to spell "S," "N," "O," and "W" grants an extra life.

In addition to gaining points by eating sushi, there are four types of potions for assistance. The green potion grants temporary invincibility. The red potion increases movement speed. The blue potion enhances shooting power, allowing more snow to cover enemies. The yellow potion increases the range of snow shots. If a life is lost, all obtained power-ups disappear. Due to the lack of color differences on the Game Boy screen, potions are displayed with different patterns.

The game does not feature passwords or saves but includes several hidden cheats.

Invincibility mode: At the title screen, hold down Left + Down + A + B, then press Start to enter the game in an invincible state. The game can be completed in about an hour.

Stage selection and hidden stage 00: At the title screen, press Up + Select + B, then press Start to access the stage selection menu. Choosing a multiple of 10 and then pressing Up may reveal the hidden stage 00.
